Finally…an opportunity to benefit the Morenci School System in a major way! The Morenci Education Foundation established the Morenci School Legacy Fund in 2010 as a way for alumni and friends of the school to invest resources which will be used by the school to fund major purchases not currently covered in the General Operating Fund budget. A $10,000 gift from an anonymous donor was used to establish the fund, and over $60,000 has been donated to this special fund to date. The principal invested will not be touched, and only up to 10% of the interest will be made available annually thereby ensuring this fund will continue to grow and grow for years to come.
