Since 2002, the Morenci Education Foundation (MEF) has supported Morenci Area Schools by awarding mini-grants to educators with creative and impactful ideas. These grants provide vital funding for projects that might not otherwise come to life, helping enhance students' learning experiences.

From books and technology to field trips and hands-on materials for science, social studies, and writing, MEF mini-grants have made a lasting difference. For the 2024-2025 school year, each grant is capped at $500, ensuring that teachers have the resources they need to inspire and engage their students. To date, we have awarded 209 grants totaling $85,521—all in support of innovative education.
